A new question about damask.?
I’ve ever heard damask used as linen tables, but in ebay.com there’s a person auctioning wedding dresses made of damask. Is it the same material or a different one? Any of the items listed in the page http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjinfeng7788QQhtZ-1 are made of that material according to the auctioner.
damask isn’t really a fabric as much as it is the slightly raised design on the fabric. damask table linens are usually linen damask but they can be cotton damask or even polyester damask. the wedding dress is most likely silk damask which is a beautiful fabric. it has a rich, luxurious look without all the heaviness or stiffness of other damasks.
